The Adventure Challenge education curriculum is a unit of instruction which uses games as a vehicle to teach students; cooperation, communication, teamwork, conflict resolution and character development. Adventure education philosophy stems from the belief that people are more capable than they perceive themselves to be and given the opportunity to try new activities in a supportive atmosphere, they will achieve goals otherwise thought unattainable. Through the many challenges offered in our unit, we provide a direction for learning. We hope to instill in our students the belief that individuals can and do make a difference.
Students will also be involved in the Physical Education Dept. Fitness Club twice a week. Fitness Club is designed to improve and maintain student’s health and fitness levels.
