Life Skills is an amazing P.E. class that many students love as an alternative to the team sports type electives. In this class students dress 4 days per week. We focus on the mind and body connection as we investigate all aspects of being healthy and active. This includes nutrition, communication, current events discussion, yoga, group fitness, self-defense and awareness, and fitness.
*Note that in our nutrition unit, there may be healthy food occasionally brought in. Mrs. Taylor is aware of food allergies, and will adhere to all documented restrictions. I.e. No nuts of any kind will be used. Smoothies and healthy muffins have been the common foods i have given samples of. Please let me know if you have any concerns.
If a student is absent on a Friday, he/she needs to complete that week's journal and any document labeled. Students can also email instructor and worksheets will be attached or i can reference info from this page. For dress days, students complete a regular absence make up (descriptions can be found on PE department page)
