Mrs. Taylor has been teaching for 17 years in District 202. She has taught at four schools, and multiple courses in the English and Physical Education Department. Her specialty is in Dance Education and Group Fitness. Mrs. Taylor was the 2014 Stephen Hunt Award Recipient (like the Teacher of the Year). She is active in her community volunteering, taking classes, and she is active in the Chicago dance scene. Currently she is a semi-professional salsa dancer in the Chicago based New York Movement Dance Company. Her teaching philosophy is that in order to create quality longevity in life, we want adolescents to tap into movement activities that they actually want to do for years to come. Not every student finds motivation in the same type of exercise, so providing as many variety of experiences is a priority. Her goal is to have as many students go on to be healthy and active as they age so that they have a high quality of life for years to come. She is passionate about the mind-body connection that movement combats depression and elevates mood and increases ability to focus/learn better.
Mrs. Taylor encourages parents and students to contact her at firstname.lastname@example.org. She will get back to you usually within 24 hours. As she is in different teaching locations throughout the day, it is very hard to reach her by phone.

Thank you so much for the opportunity to work with your children. It is an honor.
