We have a small number of 2016/2017 yearbooks.  If you would like one you can purchase one for $55, while supplies last.

 

Once again this year, District 202 is very proud to support the Northern Illinois Food Bank's "Hunger Action Month" food drive.  Please help and drop any non-perishable food items in the main office 1102. 

 

Do you enjoy helping others, need volunteer hours, or simply love serving the community? Then come join Wildcats' Care Club, partnered with Lurie Children's Hospital of Chicago, where we are dedicated to volunteer and fundraising projects. Our first meeting will be September 6th in the Freshman Café at 2:20.

 

Student Services is sponsoring a college visit for senior students.  We will be taking a bus to the University of Illinois at Chicago on September 21st.  If you are interested in going, come down to student services for a permission slip.  There are limited spots available so sign up ASAP!

 

Looking for a way to “Be a Wildcat”? Be a Key Clubber! Join our student led service program.  Our first Key Club Meeting is Thursday September 7th at 2:30 in the Freshman Center Cafeteria for all returning members and anyone interested in joining this school year. 

 

The first blood drive of the year will be Friday, September 8th from 8-1:00 in the auditorium.  Our goal for this drive will be 45 units of blood.  Donors will receive a $5.00 Subway gift card, $10.00 Colonial Café gift certificate, AND a FREE Admission to Siegel’s Pumpkin Patch for donating this time.  If any student who is 16 years of age or older would like to donate, you must see Ms. Weis to schedule an appointment.  Students who sign up are responsible for any classwork that they miss.  Please check with your teachers before you decide to donate during that time.   

 

ART CLUB will start this Thursday Sept 7th. It will be held in Ms. Sullivan’s room (1105) after school until 3:15. Anyone is welcome to join.

 

Are you a musician? Do you have original material that you would like to share with others? Well then, Central Sound Studios may be a good interest for you. We are looking for anyone with musical talent that would like to audition for our student-produced CD. Whatever genre you would like to perform, we'll take a listen. You can sing, play an instrument, or even make all electronic music, the choice is yours. See Mr. Hoadley in room A11, or the band room, for sign-ups, or if you have any questions.

 

Have you ever wondered how faith relates to high school life? Come to the kick-off meeting of The Fellowship of Christian Athletes on Monday, Sept. 11th from 6:30-8pm! Meet in room 2307 - We will be playing kick-ball and pizza will be provided! FCA is open to everyone, so bring your friends and come join the fun!

 

Are you interested in being a part of a club or sport at PHS but can’t find the right fit? If you are interested in helping out the football team by being a football manager please see Coach Keane in 2209 for more information.

 

Congratulations to the girls cross country team for their 6th place varsity team finish out of 17 teams at the Wildcat Invite on Saturday.  Leading the way for the lady wildcats were Julia Egly and Ana Pineda, who finished 15th and 16th respectively, covering the 3 mile race in 20 minutes flat.  Jess Homan, Nora Rosenbaum and Grace Grimaldi rounded out the scoring for the varsity squad. Elizabeth Fannin was the top Fr/So finisher in 33rd place, while Lillia Louis and Meghan O’Leary earned medals for their 14th and 18th place finishes in the open division race. Congrats to all the girls who earned personal best times as well. Keep up the great work girls!

 

Are you confounded by chemistry? Do you find precalculus puzzling? Never fear! The NHS Help Desk is back! Starting this Thursday, September 7, come to the media center during your study hall with a pass and your current ID on Tuesdays and Thursdays for help with any math or science class.

 

On Saturday the cross country hosted the Wildcat Invite. The team had a great day filled with personal bests. Leading the frosh/soph team to a 3rd place finish were award winners Ryan Bonomo and Tommy Adelmann. The varsity team finished 7th and were led by award winners Riley McIntyre and 5th place finisher Jonathan Goetsch.
